Howard Here. I'll be out of ton for a big chunk of summer. Out from Jun 17 to Aug 4th of so.
So, that means: 1) I want to throw a party before I leave. What I'd like is 3 people to help co-host it. Co-hosting means you'll show up, help out as you can, and help make decisions like what day, etc.
2) My house will be an open space for dancing while I'm gone. It is, however, 15mins out of town by car. (For some reason, in Ithaca this is considered far. In SF, this is considered close...) Get in touch with me to hear about access.
Brendan Here. I'll be out of town from the 13th to the 23rd of June. It was really amazing to get to watch Howard teaching his musicality lesson Friday night. I hope to watch him teach more lessons, and maybe even build up the courage to take one.
As long as I'm here, I always want to dance. I don't know as I have the organizational talents required to co-host an event, but I'm willing to do my best if more qualified candidates don't appear.
Marvin here. I just met many of you, but was so very excited to find out that there is a blues scene here now, and want to help it grow. I'll be in and out of town for herb school field trips, away from June 27th-ish to July 18th-ish, Aug 6-10 and Sept 3-10. I may attempt to make it to Sweet Molasses in Boston July 25-27--having a carpool will definitely increase likelihood of going.
I'm happy to help host/organize events, carpools to out-of-town dances, and once I'm more established in my new home, possibly host parties myself. I'd really like to see the scene take off, and have been wondering what it would take to get Joy Arrico down from Rochester to teach some beginner/intermediate and private lessons--I'm guessing not yet, but maybe next semester?
Also- I'm willing to help co-host the party before Howard goes away. Anyone else who's interested give me an email and we can start working out the details without spamming everyone else :)
I'm graduating and moving in the near future, but will perhaps be around for part of June. If I'm here, I most definitely want to be dancing! It's been exciting helping the blues scene get started up here in Ithaca. Here's hoping that enough dedicated souls step up to help it continue to grow!

I'm around and love dancing so count me in. Friday's teaching was good and the dancing was fun of course!
